Deerpoint Estate is located on the peaceful shores of Commanda Lake in Restoule, Ontario—a quiet cottage-country community surrounded by forests, lakes and abundant wildlife. Guests can spend their days swimming, boating, paddling and fishing on Commanda Lake or exploring the hiking and cycling trails at nearby Restoule Provincial Park. The surrounding area is also popular with ATV enthusiasts, with an extensive network of local roads and backcountry trails offering opportunities to explore the forests, lakes and rugged scenery of the region. Guests should confirm permitted routes, seasonal conditions and applicable trail-pass requirements before riding. The village of Restoule offers basic conveniences, including a general store, fuel, butcher shop and casual dining options. Additional shopping, restaurants and services are available in Powassan and North Bay. Deerpoint is also within reach of many attractions throughout the North Bay and northern Muskoka regions. Whether you are planning an active outdoor getaway or simply looking for a peaceful place to reconnect with family and friends, Restoule offers an authentic cottage experience.
Guest Access
Guests will have access to the entire house with private deck featuring outdoor dining for 12, outdoor living room and barbeque. There is a separate deck overlooking the lake and a private firepit with Muskoka chairs. Your home is located in Deerpoint Estate with over 700’ of sandy shoreline and 13 acres of lakefront property located on one of the quietest parts of Commanda Lake in Restoule, Ontario. The sprawling estate is set back from the road with a winding driveway through pine trees. The property includes expansive rolling lawns, vast wooded areas with plenty of space for all activities. There are three separate dwellings at Deerpoint including Moose Manor, Bunny Bungalow and Loon Lodge. The outdoor spaces and amenities are shared with guests staying at the other dwellings. You will have shared access to all of the amenities at Deerpoint including: • You can enjoy swimming and all types of watersports from the shallow entry sand beach. We have sand and beach toys available. • Guests are welcome to use the non-motorized boats along with life jackets and paddles in the shared boat house. We have 5 kayaks, a canoe, stand up paddleboard and a 2 seater paddle boat. • There is an assortment of outdoor games including badminton, cornhole, soccer ball, frisbee, and yahtze. We also have a set of horseshoe pits.

Located less than 5 minutes away from the town of Restoule. Explore the general store and LCBO, local restaurants, and the Mill Bay Market with a butcher, fresh food and ice cream bunkie. You are close to Restoule Provincial Park and will have access to all types of outdoor activities. Please see our guidebook outlining all the great things to do in the area! Enjoy the shallow entry sandy beach entrance to the lake, where people of all ages can enjoy the lake. We have non-motorized watercraft including 5 kayaks, canoe, stand up paddleboard, and a 2 seater paddleboat along with lifejackets and paddles available for all guests. The property includes expansive rolling lawns, vast wooded areas with plenty of space for all activities. Other Details to Note
Moose Manor is the original farmhouse that has been renovated and expanded over the years. It has been fitted with all new furnishings, while some areas such as the bathrooms retain an older style. The air conditioning cools the main floor although the upstairs bedrooms have ceiling fans but receive little direct air-conditioning. Deerpoint includes 2 other cottages that are rented separately or please enquire about reserving the entire Deerpoint Estate for large family retreats All of the amenities at Deerpoint are shared with other guests. Please respect other guests that may be visiting at the same time.
